Performing Arts Production Programme Open Call Application

What we are looking for

Surprise us but think of these guidelines: 

• An original concept for a diverse and cosmopolitan audience
• We encourage you to explore new forms of performance outside the closed space format

What do we offer

• Financial support
• Six days (six hours maximum per day) use of rehearsal space with logistics and technical facilities (only for UAE-based artists)
• A presentation as part of the Cultural Foundation performing arts programme (performance fees and marketing will be covered by Cultural Foundation)

Essential information for applicants

• You need to be be Emirati, or a UAE-based or from North Africa, West Asia and South Asia.
• You already have an artistic background
• You are applying to cover the costs to produce a new and original creation to be delivered by fall 2022
• Produced works must be in Arabic or English or in whatever language that is not a barrier to accessibility
• The production process must be aligned with the necessary health and safety precautions
• Incomplete applications or those sent after the deadline will not be considered
• Your application will be reviewed by a committee comprised of the Cultural Foundation programming team and independent professionals
• You will be notified of the results by the end of April. Pre-selected applicants will be invited to an interview before the final decision
