Fatimi Kufic Script - First Workshop

The Fatimid Kufic script appeared in the Mamluk era, and calligraphers excelled in its composition and innovations, which are distinguished in its letters in terms of straightness and the shape of the circular dots. This script is famous for writing the Holy Qur’an, mosques, and facades, and Islamic decoration was added to it in the spaces between the letters. It is also capable of all configurations, such as circular, oval, square, and rectangle. This workshop consists of two workshops, the first workshop for writing letters and the second workshop for making a painting. Instructor: Mohamed Mandi
